Simon on 'Fading Tattoos'; Keeping in the theme of the original short story 'An American Bar', I hope to build up a bigger picture of her inhabitants. Customers, bar staff, security, entertainers. I have been lucky enough to engage and see all of these and really want to get down how our conversations went, how I observed them, and even how I have read about them.
Like any bar in any country in the world, they all have love, hate, prejudices, hopes, possibilities and failures. Whatever those are, I hope my writing of them does them justice.
